City4Life is an horizontal open-architecture framework based on Snap4City platform that enables interconnectivity, interoperability, and communication between smart vertical solutions and applications in a Smart City.
- Snap4City platform is compatible with each sensor for the real- time integrated display of the network, interconnected with an application for receiving and processing data by the sensors, an application for updating events, and an application for automatic notifications and alarms.
- Can be integrated with existing or future Smart City systems, providing analysis capabilities and added value to the municipality systems.
- Accessible from any computer or mobile device connected to the internet. Users have access to the data of the installed stations, special IoT sensors, as well as to interconnected third party services via the internet, using mobile app and WEB app that allows access from tablet, iPad or smart phone.
- Ability to send notifications to users via email, SMS, mobile app and Viber messages.

The framework has been operational since April 2022 as a managed service under an Operations Service contract. City4Life is based on the Snap4City IoT framework, delivered and implemented by the University of Florence, and currently manages and hosts more than 90 private entities across different industries in a multi-tenant environment serving their needs across multiple IoT vertical solutions.
